Halon Fire Suppression Systems

There are many different options available when it comes to a fire suppression system. Each facility is different and has different needs. When designing a fire suppression system that will meet your company's requirements, there are a lot of things to take into consideration. One of those things is the agent that will be released when the system engages. In this blog, we're going to highlight one of those agents, Halon. How it Works Halon is known as a "Clean Agent," which is defined by the National Fire Protection Association  as " an electrically non-conducting, volatile, or gaseous fire extinguishant that does not leave a residue upon evaporation." Halon is a compressed gas that has been liquefied and is stored until it is released. When released, it works by chemically disrupting combustion.
